Poll Time

2/28/2014

I am taking a poll to see what kind of things you all might like to see from me. Vote and let me know. If you don't, I might ramble a lot about nothing. You can pick as many things as you want or you can fill in your own answer. I still may not do anything of the things you all choose, but it is a general idea.

Thursday Thoughts

I thought I would join in on the link up for Thursday Thoughts that Jen from Ramblings of a Suburban Mom does every week. I read he blog every day and since I haven't been writing as much as I should be, I thought I would join in.

-- School is actually going well right now. I am in the middle of one class and another one starts in March. I thought it was going to be a lot harder than it is, especially after the husbands experiences with Graduate School, but I am sailing through this class. I think the fact that I have a technical background and everyone else has a teaching background gives me some advantages.

-- I have begun freelancing and writing articles for various sources. It is forcing me to write and also allowing me to use what I have learned to educate others about topics. Right now I am working on helping seniors not to get scammed on the internet and through email.

-- I think I want to start taking more videos and practicing my video editing skills. I have a video camera, I should use it.

-- I recently discovered a love I never knew I had. I am loving Imagine Dragons. I didn't even realize I knew most of their music from various movies and backgrounds when I am out somewhere.

-- Since I am currently doing too many things to seriously write at the moment, I am thinking I will use my site to blog and try to tell a story through my daily life. Any ideas or comments about that?

Ok I am done for now. I might come back and add more later, but for now, this is all I can think of.

I'll Catch Those Pesky Shrimp

One curious cat plus one Eco-Sphere of shrimp equals a new obsession by the cat. This is Brix trying to catch the shrimp as they go about their business in their globe. He did not have much success in the attempt.

We went to the Georgia Aquarium this weekend and I took this video of the sea otter when he was being put back in his exhibit. This alone made my entire day.

I Am Neglectful

I know I have been missing in action for quite awhile now. For that, I am sorry. In the time I was gone, I graduated with my BS in Information Systems Security and I also moved to a completely different state. Both have been adventures in their own right. I really love my new home so far and hopefully will continue to do so. I begin school again next week. I am pretty excited about it. I am anxious to get started and to get through it as quick as possible. I want to write more often, but I haven't had the time, due to my working a lot as well as taking care of the house and everything else. I am going to have to carve out some time in order to make myself sit down and write. Well, that is about it for now. I know this was far from exciting, but I wanted to not be a bad neglectful person anymore.

Haven Bad Guys

So I love the show Haven, on Syfy. A couple of weeks ago there were two bad guys. Neither one were bad guys in purpose, but they both killed people nonetheless. The first one was the brother of Duke and he killed people with the "Crocker Curse" in order to rid them of the Troubles. The actor happens to have been the guy who played the Ice Truck Killer on Dexter. The second bad guy was a man who killed a lot of people without knowing it, but then it was found out he could control the killing. This actor was the guy who played the Dr's son in the final season of Dexter.

So the first villain and the final villain from Dexter were both on Haven at pretty much the same time. I notice strange occurrences like this and feel the need to let everyone else around me know too.

AFI + Writing = Zen

AFI is one of my favorite bands. They have a new album coming out soon, but as of right now, have 2 songs from it released. I am obsessed with both of these songs already and can't get enough of them. AFI is also perfect writing music.

When All Is Said And Done...

I am finally finished with school. It has been a long time coming and I am so happy to be done. I was so over it there at the end. I will be going to Grad School starting in January, but for now, I am going to enjoy the time off. I want and need to write and now I finally have the chance to sit down longer than 5 minutes at a time. PS - My husband bought me a bluetooth keyboard for my tablet and I am happily typing this on it right now and loving that this is a new option for me to get writing done.

One Step Away!!

Ok, the time has come. I just turned in my thesis and final paper for school. This time next week, if all goes well, I will be a graduate. I am sitting here now though, raking my hands, hoping my thesis was good enough. I especially want to be an honor graduate. Before this semester, I was .07 away from that goal. I have all A's so far, but don't have my final grades yet. I have to wait and worry and wait and worry.

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have been so quiet lately, but I am in the final semester of school and am doing my thesis, so it is taking up all of my time. It is not fun, but I will be so happy when it is all over at the end of August!
